Virtual Commerce Launches Home Service Expo Utilizing Onstream Media's MarketPlace365T Platform
POMPANO BEACH, FL, November 9, 2010 - Onstream Media Corporation ( OTC: ONSM), a leading online service provider of live and on-demand Internet broadcasting, corporate web communications and virtual marketplace technology, today announced the launch of Virtual Commerce's Home Service Expo, powered by Onstream's MarketPlace365T platform.
Home Service Expo, believed to be the home service industry's first 24/7 online home show, features many of South Florida's home service contractors, service providers and remodelers. The virtual expo is the brainchild of John Castellano and Rick Bell, two veteran home builders with over 50 years of combined experience in the field of construction and remodeling.
"When the MarketPlace365 technology was first introduced to me, I immediately saw the need for this comprehensive solution in the local home service industry," said Mr. Bell, Virtual Commerce LLC's managing member. "The integrated online marketing tools offered within MarketPlace365 will enable Home Service Expo to revolutionize how we use the web to promote the latest information on home products and services, everything from lawn and garden and pest control to decorating your family room. In short, Home Service Expo will guide you to the right products and vendors you need for your project."
Home Service Expo allows online users to browse through hundreds of local vendors and suppliers to find the latest products and services available in a specific geographic area. The show features:
. A Media Library with a variety of on-line tutorials from "How to Grow a Butterfly Garden" to "How to Find the Perfect Realtor."
. A Conference Center which will introduce keynote speakers including CEOs of Exhibitor Companies, and other experts in the Home Service industry.
. A Learning Center where attendees can take interesting classes from Kitchen Remodeling to Continuing Education for a variety of trades.
There are also plans to add social media features in the Lounge that will allow attendees, exhibitors and experts in the home service field to gather in chat rooms to discuss a variety of topics. Attendees will also be able to find other social media including blogs, Facebook and Twitter in the Lounge area.
"Home Service Expo helps homeowners find local contractors to improve, remodel and service their properties - all from one, easy-to-use, centralized online platform enabled by MarketPlace365," said Randy Selman, President & CEO, Onstream Media. "Local advertising designed to attract the homeowner is heavily contested by yellow pages, cable providers, coupons, newspaper ads, flyers, local magazines, radio and other vehicles. Therefore, we are exceptionally pleased by the overwhelming positive response from local home service and remodeling professionals that have embraced this new multimedia lead generation technology."
"Our exhibitors include Lindstrom Air Conditioning, California Closets, Outdoor Lighting Perspectives, Mellon Security and many more," added Bell. "Our goal is to feature over two hundred and fifty exhibitor booths within the first three months of operation in the South Florida market and then roll out in four other Florida markets this year. We will focus in our second and third years on developing four regional markets throughout the United States. This will be accomplished by developing strategic alliances with national vendors which will allow us to launch new territories starting with as many as one hundred booths in each show."
MarketPlace365 is a comprehensive, online lead-generation and communications virtual trade show platform that enables publishers, associations and tradeshow organizers to quickly, easily and affordably self-deploy and manage their own online multimedia "marketplace," while creating a compelling social-media experience for the attendee. MarketPlace365 brings communities with common interests together online for commerce and information exchange. MarketPlace365 features include: social networking, search engine optimization, advanced analytics, videos, webinars, presentations and a full suite of marketing and communications tools.
